- fun facts & FAQ about the dreadlocks: ~ locked since 2002 ~ one lock is covered with hair from my boyfriend ~ have not cut my hair since 1998 ~ i have a tiny cobalt-colored african trading bead on one that dates back about 300 years (thanks to JBurgess!) ~ I used products once when they were first locking up ~ they get a tint of red in the summer and browner in the winter (mood-hair... feel free to ask about my mood-birthmark too) ~ they shrunk a total of over a foot at first locking! ~ i wash them regularly ~ they collect lots of fuzz, most notably a piece of bright pink string.
